Houston, Texas, June 17, 2026: On Friday, June 19th, global lifestyle brand Timberland will officially open the doors to its newest specialty retail store at the Houston Galleria.
The maker of The Original Yellow Boot™ is pulling out all the stops to offer consumers an immersive experience that highlights Timberland’s rich heritage and craftsmanship. Activities slated for the opening include:
- Boot Customization station with purchase—featuring lace and patch bar plus laser engravings
- Timberland’s 13-foot long “Big Boot” will tour the surrounding area
Bringing his bold energy and style to the moment, Timberland’s new global character Timmy the Rat, will roll into town via social media behind the wheel of a red slab car. Illustrated by renowned cartoonist and graffiti artist Shaun Crawford, Timmy is a street icon who speaks to Timberland's authentic city style and outdoor roots. (Because let’s face it; what says “city” and “outdoors” better than a rat?) New iterations of Timmy will be revealed as he pops up for store openings across the globe, donning looks that reflect the local style scene.

Houston Galleria is the second store to open in Texas this year (Houston Premium Outlets opened in May), with others to follow this summer.
