NOVEMBER 15, 2023: This Saturday, November 18th, Timberland will cap off the Timberland Stoop series back in Brooklyn at Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse from 4PM - 9PM, with a free concert featuring musical performances by Kaytranada, Aminé, Roc Marciano and Lola Brooke. This fall, the brand activated its Timberland Stoop mobile pop-up tour for a second season in the New York City area. Making stops in different locations for six weekends, the hyper-localized mobile tour stopped in Brooklyn, Queens, Harlem, Washington Heights, and the Bronx. To commemorate the musical lineup, exclusive concert t-shirts will be made with all proceeds going to a NY charity.
Throughout 2023, Timberland celebrated the 50th anniversary of The Original Timberland® Boot by honoring the communities that helped make the yellow boot an icon. Timberland Stoop pays homage to New Yorkers in particular, who played a central role. Meeting consumers directly in their communities, the pop-up hosted free workshops, product customizations, giveaways, special access to exclusive releases, musical performances and its newest photo moment, Timbs Deli and Groceries — a 256 square foot custom bodega that nods to NYC culture that’s decked out with branded elements like, “Butta’s Crunch” candy, “NY Cuppa Cawfee” coffee beans, “Yerrr” potato chips and more. Making its final appearance for the season, the viral 250 lb Giant Timberland Boot that stands almost 10 ft tall, will also be present for picture taking opportunities.
“Even though Timberland is a New England brand, we think of New York as our second home. This is where we were embraced by culture and named the city’s official shoe so it was important to celebrate our 50th anniversary with Timberland Stoop in a bigger and bolder way, for our communities in New York. This concert finale is also a nod to the 50th anniversary of hip hop, which has also played a huge role in our journey as a brand,” says Ezra Martin, VP of Marketing, Timberland North America.
Throughout the tour, Timberland supported local businesses and entrepreneurs by giving consumers free offerings that included: musical performances by Ferg, Fabolous, Dave East, Kelz2Busy and ShellX; exclusive merch by local NY artists Taylor Simmons, Thor Kimmel, Airbrushbybobo, Shana Sadeghi-Ray and Tattoos by Cake; creator led workshops by Phillip Leyesa, Ghetto Friends, Tiempo De Zafra, Ian Sullivan, Shana Sadeghi-Ray and LOSO; food and beverages distributed from Seed Brklyn, Benfaremo,Melba’s, Mad Juicy, Wahizza, Empanology and Sweet Chick; and DJ Sounds by Atelye Marc, Hellotones, Brandon Lamont, Vada, Ladiez Drink Free and Dylan Ali.
